Bring a bag to receive a random act of kindness of the fruity kind on Saturday 10 October. From 10am to 3pm (or until the fruit runs out), members of Growing Redhill and Transition Redhill will be on Reigate High Street. The stall will be near The Market Stores and Caffè Nero. They will re-distribute local fruit, with a take home message to “grow your own”.
The bounty for the stall will all be from local fruit and nut trees, with zero associated ‘air miles’. As well as boxes of fruit gathered before the event, local people are invited to bring unwanted fruit to the stall during the morning. The last event shared 400kg fruit – enough for 800 apple pies!
Contact us beforehand if you would like to get involved in apple picking or manning the stall – and take some fruit home too.
