June News

Transition Drinks3 pints

No presentations or special guest stars this month. Just a good old-fashioned social.

We will be in the main bar at the Garland. Come along for a chat and see what we have been doing and what we have planned. If you have ideas about what we ought to be doing, so much the better.

We’ll be there from 8, probably until about 9.30 or so, so drop in any time in between.

When: Tuesday, 18 June 2013 @ 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Where: The Garland, 5 Brighton Road, Redhill,Surrey RH1 6PP (Map)

Redhill & Reigate Food GroupRedhill & Reigate Food Group

If you are interested in sourcing local food take a look at our food group’s new website (www.redhillandreigatefood.org.uk) which explains how it works.  The group are looking for new members and suppliers so please get in touch if this interests you.  Sourcing local food has never been so easy…

Co-wheels car clubCo-wheels logo

Paula from the Co-wheels car club joined us at our meeting last month. We had a very interesting and informative chat about the monetary and environmental benefits of car club membership over car ownership, which seem pretty substantial. There is a report of the meeting and the issues on our website – here.

If you are tempted to take the plunge into car club membership, Co-wheels are currently offering a free £20 driving credit to new members in Surrey – visit http://www.co-wheels.org.uk/surrey.

Local Greenpeace Group

You may be interested to know that the Redhill & Reigate Greenpeace group regularly meets in the Garland on the same evening as Transition Redhill. Their meeting usually starts at 7, so you will probably have time to visit both groups in the same evening, and return home feeling very efficient, and hopefully inspired. For more information on the local Greenpeace group, see http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/groups/redhill-reigate
